Hillside House

Nested on the edge of a sloping site, this contemporary, detached, new-build three-bedroom home sits very comfortably and enhances what was formerly a disused garage. Site and budget constraints created distinct challenges that we had to overcome through sensitive and articulate design. The required low profile of the building was achieved by creating a subterranean lower level served by a carefully oriented courtyard which connects all the habitable interior spaces and provides generous natural lighting.
